| Name: | Lucas (Aloysius) |
|---|---|
| Website: | Midgard RPG |
Name: Aloysius (currently goes by Lucas)
Age: 20
Origin: Morroc (Moved to Lighthalzen early)
Job&Build: Assassin (Dodge)
Weapon Type: Katars
Looks: Aloysius is tall at 6'3" and rather lanky, with broad shoulders and a toned, athletic build. His skin is deeply tan from his time in the desert, and his naturally pale hair is generally kept dyed black. His eyes are a brilliant golden-brown. He generally wears black coats with unusual buckles and straps, although he's been known to change to more casual outfits, and a pair of small, apparently useless glasses almost always rest low on his nose. His general expression is faintly amused, as if he knows he's the only one in the room who got the joke.
History:Aloysius' father was not a normal man. He was a member of the Assassin's Guild, for one. However, he became involved in an affair with a young merchant, an affair which eventually produced Aloysius himself. He even told his lover about the Guild - and once they found out, he was rather swiftly executed. Aloysius' mother fled Morroc, fearing for the safety of herself and her child, and eventually the two arrived in Lighthalzen. Aloysius made friends with another young boy in the neighborhood, Marcel, and for a while he and his mother lived a relatively tranquil life.
One day, however, while playing around the house, he discovered his father's Necklace of Oblivion. He asked his mother about the trinket, and she broke down and confessed what his father's calling had been. Upon hearing about this, Aloysius decided he should follow in his father's footsteps and left for Morroc - not informing his mother or Marcel. He was barely 14 at the time.
He spent the first five months of his time in Morroc roaming the streets aimlessly, generally sleeping in alleys and surviving on whatever scraps he could find. However, he nearly always wore his father's necklace, and a member of the Guild happened to notice this. After questioning the boy about where he had gotten the necklace, the assassin eventually dragged him to the guild to decide what should be done with someone who knew this much.
It was decided that he could at least be tested for aptitude as an assassin, so he was thrown into training - with death certain if he failed. Instead he was a complete success, and if not the greatest, certainly had at least some natural talent for the job. He had never been exactly emotional to begin with, and so remorse and pity were never problems, and he was fairly agile. Thus, he managed to become an assassin.
Eventually he was called upon to return to Lighthalzen for a long-term mission - several high ranking and well-guarded targets needed to be eliminated such that their deaths looked natural - and so he carefully cultivated a new identity to use as a cover during the job - a new name, a changed appearance, and everything else. The final step of the cover was his job. Aloysius (now calling himself Lucas) opened a small florist's in Lighthalzen, using the shop both for cover and to cultivate certain plants that produced poisons he intended to use.
When the Guild collapsed, he returned to Morroc. However, after determining that there was little he could do, he expressed his desire to finish his current mission. Thus, when the remaining members of the Guild scattered, he returned to Lighthalzen and to his 'quiet life' as a florist - still planning how to complete his job.
Personality: Aloysius, at first, seems to be the epitome of charm - he's polite and calm, and always smiling. After talking to him for too long, however, he becomes incredibly unnerving. His polite-but-condescending manner never deserts him, and it's nearly impossible to get him to feel anything but light amusement or distaste. Because of this, he has very few friends or people he feels close to, although he doesn't seem to mind this. In addition, he's highly intelligent, and isn't exactly shy about showing said intelligence off. About the only thing that provokes any real emotion is his job (the real one) - he is mildly thrilled by other's pain, although generally he can hide this fact if need be.
